Khiyla Aynne
Khiyla Aynne is a 15-year-old multi-talented performer and dynamic storyteller. She can be seen starring in the Netflix feature film adaptation of Broadway's "13: The Musical" (2022) as 'Charlotte'. Produced by Primetime Emmy winner Neil Meron (Chicago, Hairspray) and directed by Tamra Davis (High School Musical: The Series). "13: The Musical" is a coming-of-age story following 12-year-old 'Evan Goldman" (Eli Golden) who moves from New York City to small-town Indiana, grapples with his parents' divorce, prepares for his impending Bar Mitzvah and navigates the complicated social circles of a new school.
In Melody Fox's thought provoking Apple TV+ sci-fi anthology series "Circuit Breakers" (2022) Khiyla Guest Stars as 'Cassady' a major procrastinator with time management issues who thinks she has it all under control, she doesn't. Curiosity leads to chaos in this new series directed by Annie Bradley (In The Dark, The Handmaid's Tale) and executive produced by Matt Hastings and Andrew Orenstein when students in the near future experience mysterious events and explore kids' issues through a sci-fi lens.
Seeing double, Khiyla played both roles of identical twin girls 'Sarah' and 'Jennifer' in UPtv's "Christmas on the Rocks" (2022) directed by multi-award winning producer and director Lane Shefter Bishop (The DUFF, The Holiday Swap.
In her darkest role to date Khiyla can be seen as 'Jenny' in the Netflix feature film adaptation of "Nightbooks" (2021) directed by David Yarovesky (Brightburn) and based on the J.A. White children's horror-fantasy novel.
As Series Lead, Khiyla starred as ''Trish' in "Ponysitters Club" (2017-2020) a Netflix Original Series that ran for multiple seasons and included two spin off feature films "Ponysitters Club: Fun at The Fair" and "Ponysitters Club: The Big Sleepover".
Additional credits include the Netflix dance feature film "Work It" alongside Jordan Fisher and Sabrina Carpenter, CBC Gem's award winning series "The Move lll" as a Featured Guest (Hip Hop) starring 9 young performers from across Canada and as 'Sherry the Time Elf' in "48 Christmas Wishes".
Khiyla's first onscreen appearance came when she performed as a Featured Guest on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in 2017. In 2019 she was invited back to the Warner Brothers Lot as one of Ellen's Little Helpers for her 12 Days of Giveaways. One of Khiyla's most memorable moments to date was performing with Justin Bieber during his song "Children" at the Scotiabank Arena for the "Purpose World Tour". Khiyla is no stranger to performing for large crowds, during the Toronto Maple Leafs "Next Generation" hockey game she was a Live In Arena Host for a crowd of 20,000 people.
Khiyla is an avid traveller and has been fortunate to travel to both Chile and Costa to film. With a strong sense of compassion Khiyla enjoys giving back to her community. She helped in leading approximately 3000 participants through a warm up stretch for the Opening Ceremony of the "Great Camp Adventure Walk" to benefit The Hospital for Sick Children. Khiyla's strong love of animals has led her to regularly volunteer her time to read to various types of animals big and small as part of a reading program at her local animal shelter.
