Casey Tebo
Emmy award winning writer/director Casey Tebo was destined to make films since he snuck into a theatre alone to watch James Cameron's 'Aliens' in 1986.
Tebo worked his way through the music video ranks like many of his idols (Soderberg, Demme) (Rolling stone magazine dubbed Tebo "Fincher-esque"). in 2014 he quickly broke into narrative filmmaking with his jaw-dropping sci-fi short film Captivus 2.0. "Captivus", a green film was made with sets built from recycled items from dumps around Boston and played at prestigious film festivals including Cannes, NY, SIFF and more receiving rave reviews from industry trend-setting websites like film threat, Fangoria, and Film school rejects.
In 2016 Tebo wrote an indie genre thriller that caught the eye of producer Sean Mckittrick (get out, Blackkklansman) who produced said first film. Made for only $400,000 (us) - "Happy Birthday" was bought and released by Orion / MGM. From Bloody Disgusting: "Tebo's first feature film, is one of these rare cinematic gifts, wrapped in the guise of a standard Mexico- based thriller."
In 2018 - Tebo shot, directed and edited a feature documentary about his relationship with legendary rock star Steven Tyler, for - Steven Tyler Out on a Limb (2018) (producer Todd Thompson). Recently, along with legendary director Chris Columbus, Tebo set up his first narrative TV show "Welcome to Hitchcock" at UCP.
In the Fall of 2021 we will see the release of the much anticipated horror comedy Black Friday starring Bruce Campbell, Devon Sawa. Scream Magazine - "Everyone HAS to see this - it is 5 STAR comedy sci-fi/horror gold!!!"
Not only looking like a lumberjack, he lives outside Boston in a log cabin, where movies still follow him to this day where his sons Dutch (Predator) and Boone (Animal House), and his daughter, Ripley. (Alien)
