Angela Patricia Brigitta Thompson was born in Southern Ontario, Canada to Scottish and French immigrants yet would go missing as a toddler. There was a notice in a local newspaper that failed to reach her Biological Family who spent time between France and Canada. Angela would be adopted and raised by The Thompson Family in Escarpment Country, where she enjoyed picking strawberries with her Mum and learning to fish with her Papa. In JK she won the public speaking contest with a poem from a Highlights Magazine. The Thompson Family moved to Brontë, Oakville where she attended St. Anne's School in the gifted program and was an Altar server at St. Dominic Parish. Angela spent her childhood summers in Cottage Country or traveling North America. She took an interest in Film, Animation and Bluegrass during a trip to California where she cheered on her Father and Friends at the annual Snoopy World Hockey Tournament. It was in during this time that she enjoyed a memorable trip to Universal Studios which also inspired her Mum to seek employment with 20th Century Fox. Angela recollects the joy of watching a VHS screen test, "The 'Alien' was there behind Mum who nonchalantly breaks the silence, 'Honey are you home from Hockey?' The 'Alien' is in frame with goop dripping as she continues to say 'your equipment stinks! Take it straight to the laundry room' (Alien) . On a separate occasion, I watched her call out 'What would you like for dinner tonight Honey' and suddenly out pops Charlie Sheen who sends in a Chicken Arrow and she replies 'That will do!'(Hot Shots! Part Deux). It was a hoot! Growing up, Film to me meant Fun and Family and that still applies today." Angela began performing in local amateur productions, she trained at the Milton Youth Theater Productions in the 'Triple Threat" program where she studied singing, dancing and acting. By the age of ten, she was opening with the Canadian Anthem on the morning PA system for her school. Angela performed live on the John Tesh Radio Show Children's Christmas Edition. She performed with the touring Oakville Children's Choir and was voted 'most likely to be an Opera singer or director' by her peers. Catching the eye of casting directors from an early age, Angela's Parents decided it was best for her to focus on her energy into Sport, Music and Community Service. Angela served her hometown as a Newspaper Carrier for the Oakville Beaver, a St. John Ambulance Squadron Leader and Volunteer Medical Responder. Musically gifted played several instruments yet took an interest in directing and composing. Angela played for the Oakville Soccer Club where she was awarded 'Best Defense Player' with hopes to play as one of the youngest players to join the Canadian Olympic Team. She played field hockey in high school along playing flute in the jazz band. She sang worship at Christian School and conditioned athletically in boxing and rowing. "I was very fortunate to be raised in an environment that introduced me to people with creative vision and people who encouraged excellence". With a flair for the dramatic arts and a passion for literature, Angela conducted her own Investigative Journalism Project. She received a personalized award called "Brain On Fire" at graduation for her short film based on PTSD Concussions and was noted as a young director to watch by Waterfront Magazine. Angela created the "Be Inspired" Campaign whilst a Student Representative for the Advertising Program at Sheridan College as a teenager. She was too young to attend pub night while in college and instead modeled for the Animation, Illustration and Photography departments and acted in Student Film projects. Angela began modeling on MySpace in 2005 where she was represented by Prestigious Models. As a teenager she would be scouted to appear in music videos for Musicians such as Fito Blanco and Sizzla. With a height of 5'5 Angela would be one of the shortest models of the time to attend casting calls for Fashion Week. She would be booked to appear for New York Artist Andy Golub during the early years of #MeToo, in the controversial and highly publicized 'Non-Profit Human Connection Arts' project. Angela was heavily interviewed during the event as a Creative Activist speaking on "Artistic Expression" the "importance of taking a stand for Women's Rights" that "breastfeeding ones child in public should not be a crime; a person makes derogatory comments should be" to use "Art as the Message". Historically speaking, it is a fact that women have been arrested and often charged with public indecency for bearing their nipple in public. Angela was then painted for a cause in front of over 2 million spectators as 'living' art. Andy Golub paints what comes to him intuitively with each Model and revealed Angela as the 'Eye of Providence'. Golub's project came prior to the #FreeTheNipple Campaign both of which stood for solidarity on woman's rights. Today, breastfeeding is legal in all 50 states. Angela was offered a role at the prestigious School of Visual Arts as Model but politely declined. Angela prefers collaborating with 'High Culture' Artists. She was a pioneer Youtube Guest by the name 'Angie B!NSPIRED' on channels such as 'Kick the PJ' and 'Amazing Phil'. She was once spotted on TMZ next to Álex Rodríguez and Shaquille O'Neal at Jay Z's Club at a MLB event. Angela appeared as a guest on the '50th Anniversary' on the Girls Next Door alongside Vintage Playboy's Debbie who adored Angela's classic beauty. Angela is a former Playboy Girls of Golf Model for Charity and attended several of their events. In a candid conversation about her connection the iconic brand Angela simply remarked 'Gloria Steinem, Ayn Rand' not a typical response such as 'Marilyn Monroe or Brigitte Bardot' albeit an intellectual choice. Angela has wrote and recorded spontaneously with Producer Scram Jones and appeared on Vlad TV. Angela appeared on the red carpet in the UK for the 'Veer' premier and interviewed by Asian Woman and Desi Magazine regarding a resent Principal role casting. She would drop out of the project after a respected Producer, concern for her safety, speculated an international sex trafficking ring trying to recruit her. Angela took a step back, returning to her athletic roots by joining a competitive stream under the leadership of a former Olympic Rower. She once connected with Harvard University about applying to the Crimson Crew (Rowing Team) but was informed all spots were full for the season. In her early twenties, Angela was offered a three year six figure contract with a Real Estate Brokerage yet decided to peruse a career in Professional Fundraising in the 'Not for Profit' Sector. Angela reunited with her Biological Family after traveling to the UK to retrieve records. Together, they were able to request and view the original Newsprint archive of the 'Notice to Reunite Child and Family'. The Society apologized for not working more diligently to reunite them and the Family found it in their hearts to forgive them. Angela comes from a very extended Traditional Family. Her Biological Family reside in Canada, UK and Europe, most of whom are fluent in English, French, German and Italian. Angela is ultimately proud of being an Adoptee and feels blessed. Angela says it "opened her mind to new people, cultures and experiences all of which she is internally grateful". Angela has worked as a Presenter for Live Dealer Studios, a volunteer at the Canadian Film Center, a fundraiser for the Canadian Opera Company, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, National Ballet of Canada. She has several unaccredited appearances in series such as 'The Handmaids Tale' and 'The Boys'. Angela is known for her work ethic, quirky humor, encouraging attitude and leading with integrity. Together, they eloped in Niagara Region with their beloved Cocker Spaniel as their "best friend". Both share the Thompson surname and are Grandchildren of Canadian War Veterans with Canadian Hockey History that can be found in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Patrick is the Grandson of the late William Campbell Thompson. Angela is the Granddaughter of the late George J. Thompson. "Georgie" is known for contributing, as himself, in 'Remembering Toronto' a PBS Documentary on 'The History of Toronto from 1900's-2000's'. He was stationed in the Netherlands ( Holland ) during World War II played both Hockey and Baseball. He retired as an Umpire in the City of Toronto. He was a mentor to many young Athletes in the City including Ron Matsuyama, Angela's honorary Godfather and known for his 'mental toughness'. In 2017 Angela was diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome after a Sports Medicine Specialty Clinic came across a Joe Rogan Podcast. "It was a game changer" said Thompson who has been working with a team of Concussion and Vision specialists. Angela is an advocate for PTSD and Concussion awareness and aspires to write on how these injuries severely impacted both her professional and personal life.
