Thomai Hatsios
Thomai Hatsios has directed commercials, music videos, and over 40 narrative portions of true crime episodes that have aired on ABC, CNBC, Discovery ID, Lifetime, Oxygen, and Netflix.
Her ability to collaborate with actors and department heads is largely due to her on-the-job training in every department she received early in her career, on set and post, working for ABC, NBC, and CBS promos, national commercials, pilots for Lionsgate, music videos, fashion videos, and independent features.
Thomai's diverse personal history informs her creativity, storytelling ability, and collaborative spirit. As a teen, Thomai ran an activist multi-media conceptual and theater art company while performing as an aerialist, teaching yoga, raising her son and other children from the community. Life experience and 25 years working in the industry culminate in her ability to remain calm, examine multiple perspectives, and easily adapt as needed. She is known for fostering confidence and ease on set.
Thomai was recently selected as one of eight women for the Black Magic Collective: Future Women of Television Initiative.
She loves a good fish-out-of-water story. And you can call her "Tomato Hot Sauce."
