Mike Yurinko
In 1995, Michael Yurinko's first screenplay "Plainfield" placed as a semi-finalist in both the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting and the Chesterfield Screenwriting Competition.
Instead of film school, he took out a personal loan and went on to write and direct the short film "Retrospect". Michael continued writing screenplays while directing regional TV commercials under his production/advertising company Gage Films and directing a weekly regional TV show called "Valley Home Shopping". After winning multiple awards for his commercial work, he focused on writing and directing "Fading", his first feature film. "Fading" gained critical praise during its theatrical run and played in several film festivals.
His next screenplay "For the Love of Jade" went on to win 1st Prize in the Fade In Awards and place as a semi-finalist in the Nicholl Fellowships - top 100 out of 6000 scripts.
His next project was the emotional and heavy-hitting psychological horror film "Entity" starring Holt Boggs, Nick Mancuso, Brandon Slagle and Fred Doss. This film was represented by Taylor & Dodge and released by Origin Releasing with global DVD and VOD sales.
Yurinko's latest feature film is the period thriller/horror "Impuratus" starring Tom Sizemore, Jody Quigley, Robert Miano, Lew Temple, Silvia Spross, and Arien DeLaMater. Produced by Guy Quigley and Charles Lago, the film was completed in October 2022. It's first public screening was at the 2022 Philip K. Dick Film Festival where it went on to win Best Supernatural Feature.
