Donald R. Harrell
Donald Harrell is a native of Austin where he graduated from the Original L.C. Anderson High School. He served in Vietnam aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise CVAN-65. After service he went on to have many occupations and careers that included power plant operations, civil service and sales of various products and services. He was introduced to acting as an extra in Friday Night Lights. It was there that he was given a speaking role and became eligible for the Screen Actors Guild. Through the casting company that cast him in it, he went on to be in other productions in the area as an extra. At that point it was just a past-time activity. In 2014, he met Brian K. Burns and was cast in Street Stories as Rufus. From there, he was encouraged and learned there is a demand for his character type; besides, he liked acting. When he realized how much he liked acting, he decided to take some lessons to hone his skills. He is a Miesner trained actor that studied under David Cox. Since then, he continues to study the craft in hopes of fulfilling his dream. Over the years, he has acted in film, commercial and theatre. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Spectrum Theatre Company. As a hobby, he is a collector of paintings, prints and other collectibles. Donald is represented by Acclaim Talent.
