Dmitriy Kozin
Dmitriy Kozin is a value investor, specializing in under-appreciated stocks, their derivatives and occasionally in fixed income instruments.
Dmitriy is originally from Russia. He moved to the United States after graduating college with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. While his original passion was software development and he has a successful career in software architecture, design and development, he discovered value investing and became obsessed with it.
For Dmitriy, investing is a combination of engineering and art, and akin to playing a game against unknown opponents. He relies on fundamental analysis and makes investment decisions based on interpretation of financial statements overlaid with his interpretation of macro and geopolitical trends.
Dmitriy started writing for Seeking Alpha in 2019 and is most known for his articles there that made an investment case for GameStop, when it was trading in single digits, before its meteoritic rise of early 2021.
Dmitriy is married and has two children. When not designing software or investing in the next under-appreciated stock, he reads books, listens to music or spends too much time on Twitter.
