Clinton Gorham
Clinton Gorham is a "live" and studio vocalist for TV/Film/Record production. Described as the "Smooth Tenor" by his peers, Clinton Gorham's vocal tone has been compared to the likes of Will Downing. However, this millennial vocalist has successfully carved out a sultry sound that is reminiscent of a throwback soul singer meshed with a fresh approach that can pierce the heart of anyone who hears his voice. Weaving together strains of classical, jazz, and gospel vocal approaches, Clinton Gorham creates an unforgettable tapestry of vocals that can only be described as nostalgic.
Born and raised in the small town of Walstonburg, North Carolina, Clinton grew up in a family full of singers. Exposure to singing at an early age, coupled with 25 years of choral training, has helped develop Clinton's vocal ability. It also aided Clinton to secure his first major musical performance at 17 years old as a live & studio session singer for Molly Davis & Dorthy Norwood. After serving honorably in the United States Marine Corp, Clinton transitioned to California where he connected with Eddie Baltrip, a musical and choirmaster. Under Eddie's tutelage, Clinton was able to grow and master his vocal ability. Clinton's talents have led him to provide live and studio support vocals for many artists such as Eddie Baltrip & Fulfillment, Tonex, DeWayne Woods, Tramaine Hawkins, Brent Jones, Donnie McClurkin, LeAndria Johnson, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Childish Gambino. This led to his role as a singer for major film projects: Guava Island & Trolls World Tour. Clinton Gorham is poised to continue spreading the message of light and love wherever sultry music is savored.
It is important for me to create a musical space that will inspire, empower, and take people to a place of nostalgia. - Clinton Gorham
